Boot Camp Stress Busting 101

Just a quick message today about busting stress.

Most people struggling with food do so because of stress.  Could be childhood stress, family stress, relationship stress, life stress… the list is a long and varied one.

But here’s the thing.  Life is stressful.  No doubt.

Yet, remarkably, it is not the specific people, places and things that actually stress us… it is how we perceive and react to them that is the root of the stress.  It is our inner choices that actually shape our life experience.

Fortunately, as an adult, you can reprogram yourself–reprogram your mind and body–to react (or not react at all) to “stressors” differently.  You can learn to remain calm and relatively…or totally unaffected.

It starts with relaxation and – wait for it…

deep breathing.

For it is impossible to feel angry or stressed when you are totally, completely relaxed.

Think for a moment on how your body feels and how your breathe when you feel stress…

Take a deep breath.
